Online Fashion Shopping:My Lane Bryant experience
Article Summary:
Article Content:
Last month I wrote about Lane Bryant, and how they generously sent me a gift card to check out their holiday apparel selection with. A few weeks ago I finally made it over to Lane Bryant, and let me tell you, I had a great shopping experience! As soon as I walked into the store (this one was located in a mall just outside of Philadelphia, PA) an employee came over and introduced herself, and then asked if there was anything in particular I was looking for. I told her that I wanted something red or silver to wear for Christmas, so she introduced me to this gorgeous silver sweater, which unfortunately I can’t find on Lane Bryant’s website:
I grabbed my usual size, 26/28, and after trying it on had to come back for a 22/24 (thank you, gastric bypass surgery!). The same employee took the too-large sweater and a few other things I had tried on to put back, and I headed over to the checkout area. On the way, I spotted a gorgeous red shrug, tried it on right then and there, and then handed over the two tops to the girl behind the desk to ring up. She was friendly and polite, and informed me that I was eligible for Real Woman Dollars (unfortunately I forgot to use them this month!), and that I’d receive a free necklace with my purchase, and a Lane Bryant gift card since I had purchased over worth of merchandise. Sweet!
Summary: for I walked out with two lovely, great-fitting and warm tops, a chunky gunmetal gray necklace (no pictures yet, sorry!) and a Lane Bryant gift card that I still need to use. I could easily use it, as there were at least ten outfits that I wanted to buy that day, but I’m trying to be a good girl and refrain from buying clothes until I drop another clothing size.
