2010 is all about saving money and spending it wisely. There’s a lot that you can do to save! And while it’s true that many of these money-saving opportunities only save you a few cents to a dollar or so here and there, those cents and dollars can quickly add up. At the end of the year you might have saved yourself several hundred bucks just by doing a few little things!
First, always check for coupons before doing any kind of shopping for groceries, household supplies, and pet products. I highly recommend Coupons.com. If you shop at Target, check out their coupons as well! Check your local grocery store’s website for ads and sales, and before venturing into a clothing store, hardware store, pet store, etc., check their website and/or local flyers to see if there are any coupons or discounts to be had.
Double coupons wherever possible. If you do shop at Target, be aware that they allow you to use one of their coupons and one manufacturer coupon on the same item.
Try to shop for items when they’re on sale.
Don’t buy an item that you’re “iffy” on. Put it back and give yourself time to think about. Chances are, you’ll decide you don’t want it after all, which means more money in your pocket! Check for reviews, too. Just as you would no doubt look up fat burner reviews before splurging on diet pills, do the same with electronics and such, as those items can get rather pricey!
Buy items like meat, frozen meals & individual items, toilet paper and cleaning products in bulk — you can easily store what you don’t use!
Shop for clothes the season after you normally would, since that’s when they go on sale or clearance! For example, get ready for next winter by shopping for winter clothing markdowns now! (Plus size ladies: now’s the time to check out Fashion Bug for great discounts!)
