I love my crock-pot. Unfortunately, I don’t use it as often as I should, given how much I enjoy the convenience of throwing a bunch of stuff into it and letting it all simmer and bubble away for six, eight, sometimes ten hours! But it’s such a pain to prepare everything to go into a typical crock-pot dish. Meat slicing, vegetable chopping, onion dicing, seasonings measuring, etc. Blah! So when I see a “ready made” meal that just requires that all of its contents are chucked into a slow cooker, I’m all over it like white on rice. (Speaking of white and rice and food, I’m looking up some website directories, because I’m very interested in checking out some food review blogs. What do you think? Worth the time?)

As I type this, a Hatfield Family Classics is simmering away in my crock-pot. In the bag was a rotisserie seasoned pork loin roast, vegetables, wedges of red-skinned potatoes, onions and a packet of seasoning. I simply had to add in 2.5 cups of hot water and I was good to go!

I’ll let you know how it is once we’ve had the chance to eat it!
