For the last year or so I have been battling with my Rival Seal-A-Meal. I initially gave it a good review, but it was all downhill from there. First of all, there’s no override for the vacuum sealing option — the Seal-A-Meal will only seal when it is ready to. And nine times out of ten, I’ll spend five, ten, fifteen minutes or more holding down the bar, positioning and re-positioning the bag, etc., to get the damn sealer to engage.

So it’s no surprise that my darling husband took a hint from all of my rantings and ravings and gave me a Kenmore Select Seal-n-Save for Christmas! This bad boy comes with all sorts of options, including the ability to hold and cut rolls of bags. Best of all? It’ll seal when I tell it to! I haven’t used it yet, but I promise I’ll be giving it a good workout when I go grocery shopping next week.
