Online Shopping:Upcoming review: o.b. Tampons
Article Summary:
Article Content:
I have been getting my period regularly (minus pregnancies, of course) for over 13 years, and I use tampons for the majority of each cycle. I have been a longtime user of Tampax Pearl, but for the last year or two I’ve noticed more of an issue with the applicators getting stuck. There’s nothing worse than getting an applicator inserted and in the proper position, and your fingers properly coordinated on either side of the base of the applicator and another on the plunger, and finding that the damn plunger won’t plunge. I’ve even taken to pushing the tampon out of the applicator a bit, but as of this morning even that didn’t help. I don’t know if the issue is with the tampons or with me, but when I was in the store today I decided to go ahead and pick up a pack of applicator-free tampons. After all, why pay for applicators and pollute the environment with them if they’re not even working?
So, I grabbed a box of o.b. Tampons. o.b. is big on using environmentally-friendly materials, such as cardboard displays, and of course no applicators. Each tampon doesn’t have an applicator, but instead has a base that flares out a bit to provide a comfortable spot for you to place your index finger in order to aid with a hopefully mess-free insertion. I’ve already used one of the tampons, and so far, so good! But I want to use o.b. tampons for a few days before doing a full review. So, you can expect the full review next week!
